 Who is The Succubus?

The Succubus is the girl your mother warned you about, and not in a good way. This Type revels in the suffering and pain of others like the sadist she is, and she will do her best to ruin your life whether it benefits her or not. She will, as the mythology of her namesake suggests, suck you dry of your life force figuratively and literally, taking everything she possibly can from you along the way.

Then why would anyone date her at all? Simple – Seduction.

The Succubus is a master seductress, and like Odysseus’s Sirens, they will call you to your own doom by exploiting your nature. She knows exactly what you want, and she knows the dance to make you feel like you’re going to get it. She can read you completely due to her vast experience, and she will allow you to see your wildest dreams and fantasies in her to better seduce you completely. This make come in the form of a sexy temptress who offers to fulfill your sexual desires or that of a prude who presents a facade of false modesty so that you may ‘conquer’ her. The Succubus can and will fulfill your every desire, for a time, and at great personal cost.

The Succubus understands seduction at the deepest level and enjoys playing the game. She is driven by the compulsion to ensnare, conquer, and drain new victims constantly, and she has far more experience than any man in this realm. She will draw you into her deadly dance with her wiles, and once you are in, she will never allow an escape unscathed.

She will allow the seduction to go on for as long as you are under her spell, continuing to take more and more from you until you are either out of resources to give her or you snap out of your reverie and realize her for the snake she is, at which point she will go on the attack and use any means at her disposal to ruin you. This can include lawsuits, false accusations, and even getting her newest victim to attack you physically, making this Type the most dangerous of the lot by far.

The Succubus can be easily mistaken for any of the other Types, as she is a masterful social chameleon. She knows how to exhibit behavioral traits that can present her as you wish to see her, which is the most seductive quality of all. She tailors the experience to be uniquely yours, an experience that no other man will have with her. As tempting as that is, however, the price she demands is high indeed. You will pay for this experience with your time, money, sanity, and possibly even your life.

The tragedy is that her behavior usually stems from past traumas, usually of the sexual variety, where she was not in control. This is why she is now so set on always being in control, no matter what that may mean for her future, her relationships, and her partners. Much like her namesake, The Succubus must control and consume in order to live. It is the only way she knows how to leave without relinquishing control, something she will never allow again.

It is unfortunate, but not every woman can be helped or saved. In the case of The Succubus, you are better off saving yourself and getting away from this Type as quickly and completely as possible, cutting off all contact and burning all bridges along the way. Your very life may depend on it.

Where to Find Her

The reason The Succubus is so seductive is because she can blend into any environment and be any type of person you wish her to be. You may find her in the bookstore, in the bar, on dating apps, on the street, or even in church. There is no place or personality off-limits to The Succubus if it allows her to find and ensnare a new victim.

More appropriately, this section should be titled How to Spot Her, because that is crucial to learn when dealing with this type.

There are two key factors to look out for if you think you might be involved with a succubus.

The first factor is an uncanny ability to match your every whim and desire. For example, if you reveal that you have a thing for sexy librarian types, she might reveal to you that she left her glasses at home with her book collection because she thinks they make her look nerdy. Perhaps you are more interested in a party girl instead. You will suddenly learn that she can order and slam back shots with aplomb, going toe to toe with the best Alcoholics in the bar.

This doesn’t mean to dismiss any girl who is agreeable as a Succubus however, as many women naturally want to please. If she happens to match your desires once or twice, it may be nothing, however it is still concerning enough to pay attention and keep your wits about you.

The danger with this Type is that once you’re under her spell, you cannot see what she is doing. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to rely on the outside counsel of friends or family. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

The second factor that will allow you to spot a Succubus is her mean jealous or angry streak. The key to a Succubus’s psychology is control – nothing can be more interesting, nobody can be better, and no situation is beyond her control.

If you ever make mention of another girl’s looks, you will notice that she becomes flustered and competitive quickly, escalating to anger if she is not appeased. Commenting on how good a girl looks in a dress will draw her ire immediately, demanding you to either compliment her dress or commenting how she would look better in it.

The Succubus truly believes she is a 10, even if she is not. This is the only way she can feel in control of her own romantic and dating life, as she holds all the cards and can decide what she does and with whom. It all relates back to her tragic past, and the need to never relinquish the top spot in her own mind. You will find that she can even get jealous of things that aren’t sexual competitors, such as phone calls from family members, time spent playing with your dog, or evenings out with the boys.

As with the first factor, a bit of jealousy is normal and even sometimes desirable in a relationship, so this doesn’t necessarily out her as a Succubus. However, it is once again imperative to pay attention to the red flags before they stack up too high and your position becomes inescapable.

Pros and Cons

There are very few pros to dating a Succubus, but what little they provide is extraordinary.

The Succubus is able to fulfill your every fantasy and desire, becoming that which you wish, particularly in the bedroom. This can be a lot of fun for a short time and can be immensely seductive, as every man wants a woman who does the things he likes in bed. She will express few desires or demands of her own, unless they are based on you paying her more or better attention.

The Succubus can be a great deal of fun in social situations as well, as you will find that she presents a ‘Lady in the Street but a Freak in the Sheets’ persona. She is often well-educated and well-mannered when the situation calls for it, as she has a wealth of past experiences to draw upon.

The draw of The Succubus is nearly the same as that of a high-class escort, but with the notable downside that she doesn’t leave afterwards. In fact, it is this natural desire that men have for her that allows her to dig her fangs in deeper, enmeshing herself in your life in ways that seem benign at the time but will later prove disastrous.

The cons of dating a Succubus are nearly incalculable, as no man has the imagination necessary to conceive of what chicanery she will commit. The main character of the film is a perfect example of what can happen to any man who allows himself to be drawn into the Succubus’s web of desire and deceit.

The reality is that any relationship with a Succubus that goes beyond the 24-hour mark (and possibly even less) presents very real existential risk. The Succubus may even attempt a pregnancy trap in a shorter time frame if she views you as a particularly delectable mark.

Extreme caution should ALWAYS be exercised if one believes they are in the presence of a Succubus. Even those who are not romantically or sexually involved with her stand to become collateral damage in one of her many schemes.

Keys to Sealing the Deal

If one suspects they are dealing with a Succubus, the only rational response is to run. Run away, and never look back. I am not joking or being hyperbolic. One should treat The Succubus as they would treat a wild beast on the hunt.

If, for some reason, you find yourself unable to resist her feminine wiles, you MUST exercise maximum caution.

A one-night stand with a Succubus can be intoxicating, and the allure is very understandable. Should you choose to engage with her, it is imperative that you use protection and dispose of it completely. Even a used condom left in a trash can is a danger not to be ignored. It is far better to call her a taxi after finishing and send her on her way, even if you are staying in a motel. On that note, it is also highly advisable to only take her to anonymous places, never allowing her to know where you live. The more she knows about you, the more trouble you invite into your life.

Ultimately, when dealing with The Succubus, it is reminiscent of the 80s film War Games.
