In Korea text game is absolutely essential.  More than 90% of the girls that I’ve met and dated will all but completely refuse to talk on the phone, even with their own friends and family using their native language.  Instead they prefer to always text instead, which can be either a help or a hindrance to you depending on how you use it.

I’ve written before about the importance of KakaoTalk in Korea, the go-to messaging app choice for Koreans.  Using the app is a step in the right direction, but even from that point you have to tighten up your text game.  In order to do that, it’s crucial to avoid the two biggest mistakes I’ve seen guys make when talking to Korean girls:

  2. You’re not texting enough.

I’ve heard, as I’m sure you all have, the mysterious rule about not calling a girl for 3 days after getting her number.  This is supposed to show that you’re not needy and let her think about how much she likes you and wants to see you again.  It was also a rule that was clearly devised before the age of smartphones, OKCupid, and Tinder.  I have a different 3-Day rule that I always try to apply, and it’s shown itself to be much more effective than the prehistoric version of not calling / messaging them.

While every man would like to be able to go out and get laid on demand, the unfortunate reality is that it’s just not possible, even for those who have been practicing and refining their game for years.  This is especially true in Korea where most girls are much more resistant to same night lays than their western counterparts.  In addition to that, there will be plenty of girls who are just not into you.  In order to find one girl that you actually like who wants to sleep with you on that one given night, how many approaches do you think you would need to do?  Unless you are exceptionally good looking, wealthy, or somehow famous I’m guess that number would be at least 20, and that’s if your game with Koreans is super tight.  If you’re new to game or to Korea, that number goes up substantially. The Importance of KakaoTalk
